Testimonials from Nonprofit Consulting Clients

The best part of working with Heidi Venture is her ability to think big.  Brainstorm sessions with Heidi always bring new perspective to the work and she helps your vision a step further.  Heidi’s ability to think creatively while being realistic about implementation has pushed our board further and faster than I would have ever expected.

Our newly formed Sherman County Education Foundation was moving swiftly forward until it came to creating a plan for marketing and fundraising. It quickly became apparent that we needed not only advice, but systematic fundraising training. Through a series of Saturday workshops facilitated by Heidi, we created plans and learned fundraising skills. Perhaps more importantly, the experience solidified our group. A year later, we had Heidi back for a one day refresher. If we come up against a wall again, or simply need more training, Heidi will get the call.

When presenting or facilitating, Heidi’s enthusiasm engages and enlivens her audience. She is committed to ensuring that all voices are heard, drawing out introverts while managing extroverts. She draws from her own experience to engage participants.

Heidi has an uncanny way of meeting the objectives at the time, engaging all participants, but also connecting comments and moving through discussion to solution and action. If given an option, I would choose Heidi to facilitate and train over and over again.

I worked with Heidi on the brand strategy for a nonprofit client. It was a tough project due to the number and sheer diversity of services,  but she was a joy to work with. When things got difficult, Heidi didn’t shy away. Her positive attitude and encouragement kept the whole team working until we got through it. She is not only incredibly passionate about working with non-profit and for-profit businesses, she is one of the most well connected people I know.

Heidi skillfully led us through identifying what we love about our chorus and what we would like to do, be, and have. Throughout the process, we felt like Heidi was a trusted member of the chorus.  At the end of the process, we settled on a revitalization plan that all of the members found exciting. Each member expressed their delight in the outcome!

I have been excited EVERY DAY since, constantly writing down things that might bring more excitement to the journey towards excellence.
